Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Air Products strives to be a company of choice that is recognized by its employees, customers, and the community as a company that draws strength, opportunity, and financial growth from the diversity of its workforce and a work environment that is collaborative, inclusive and respectful of all people.

Global and Local Diversity and Inclusion Councils

The Global Diversity and Inclusion Council leads Air Products’ strategic initiatives on diversity and inclusion.  This team sets, leads, owns and monitors the overall diversity and inclusion strategy, as well as developing corporate wide plans and priorities, and establishing metrics.

Local Diversity and Inclusion Councils operate in Europe, Asia, and the Americas and address concerns according to the values and needs of a particular work site, city, region, or country. They are also responsible for driving the successful implementation of diversity and inclusion efforts at the local level.

Diversity and Inclusion Department

The Diversity and Inclusion Department works with all business organizations and functions to implement diversity & inclusion strategies. These strategies enable our colleagues to meet business goals — from fostering a culture of inclusion to the creation of a world class diverse organization.

Employee Networks

Diversity and Inclusion Employee Network Our Employee Networks support each other and their community and welcome membership from all colleagues. They focus on business-related issues and interests of a particular group and serve as a two-way communication channel between leadership and the network members. They communicate with and educate employees through events, literature and special programs. Regional chapters allow members to network, while a central charter ensures a common vision supporting diversity and inclusion. We presently have seven active Employee Networks:

  • All Asian Americans at Air Products (4AP)
  • AnyBody Concerned about Disabilities (ABCD)
  • Ethnically Diverse Employee Network (EDEN)
  • Gay and Lesbian Empowered Employees' Network (GLEE)
  • Hispanic Organization of Latinos and Amigos (HOLA)
  • Parents Association
  • Women in Business

Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Teams

Teams who act as partners based in various organizations emphasize diversity and foster inclusion in ways that work best for their businesses. They communicate closely with managers to identify issues, opportunities, and recommend actions to make their individual business area a place where all colleagues can do their best work. Presently, we have D&ILTs operating in 19 businesses, across the globe.
