Vice President, Continuous Improvement
Alexander W. Masetti was appointed vice president, Continuous Improvement, in October 2009. In this role, he is focused on driving net productivity to achieve stepchange improvement to Air Products’ bottom line in support of the company’s margin goals.
Mr. Masetti joined Air Products in 1981 as a participant in the company’s Career Development Program with engineering assignments in Applied Research and Development and the Process Systems Group. He was named account manager in the Process Gas Division’s (PGD) standard plants department in 1984 and major account manager in PGD’s international department in 1988. In 1990 Mr. Masetti relocated to Taipei, Taiwan as vice president, Gases Division, for the company’s joint venture with San Fu Chemical Company. In 1992 he returned to Allentown where he was named manager of systems and equipment for the Electronics Division, and in 1994 he became marketing manager for the Division. In 1997 Mr. Masetti became vice president for the company’s joint venture Daido Air Products Electronics, Inc. in Osaka, Japan. He returned to Allentown in 2000 as director of Investor Relations, and in 2004 he was appointed vice president, Tonnage Gases North America.
Mr. Masetti was born in 1959 in New York City. He received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College in 1981 and an M.B.A. from Lehigh University in 1986.
