Corporate Secretary and Chief Governance Officer
Mary T. Afflerbach was appointed corporate secretary and chief governance officer in April 2009. She is responsible for advising Air Products’ Corporate Executive Committee and Board of Directors on legal and regulatory matters pertaining to corporate governance and have accountability for the company’s U.S. Securities Law compliance. She also manages the Corporate Secretary’s Office.
Ms. Afflerbach joined Air Products in 1989 as a tax attorney. In 2004 she was named assistant general counsel–securities and corporate governance.
Ms. Afflerbach was born in 1959 in Roanoke, Virginia. She received a B.A. degree in political and social thought from the University of Virginia in 1980 and a J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School in 1983.
Ms. Afflerbach is a member of the American Bar Association and the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals.
