Tonnage Gases Business Development-Asia
Philip C. Sproger was appointed vice president, Tonnage Gases Business Development–Asia in October 2008. He is responsible for providing leadership and expertise to the Asian tonnage team as they pursue new business opportunities in the region. In August 2011, Mr. Sproger assumed additional responsibility for the sale of equipment and product management of global large air separation units and cryogenic systems.
Mr. Sproger joined Air Products in 1981 as a participant in the company’s Career Development Program. He subsequently held a variety of positions in the Gases and Equipment Group’s standard plants, on-sites, HYCO, environmental and energy systems, packaged gases, and customer service organizations. In 2002 Mr. Sproger relocated to Hersham, England, where he led the company’s European tonnage gases business. He returned to the U.S. in 2004 as director, Investor Relations, and in 2006 he was appointed vice president and general manager of Air Products’ U.S. healthcare business.
Mr. Sproger was born in 1959 in Allentown, Pa. He received a chemical engineering degree from The Pennsylvania State University in 1981.
