XeCoverySM Onsite Xenon Recovery System

Recent increases in the price of xenon have caused many IC manufacturers to seek ways to lower their costs.  These efforts include developing new processes that don't employ xenon (which takes time and will incur costs to introduce a new process to a manufacturing line), or recover the xenon for either re-use or sale back to gas suppliers for purification.

XeCovery is a service Air Products is introducing to the marketplace for recovering xenon from process waste gas streams.  This service employs Air Products patented developed technology for extracting the xenon using a vacuum swing adsorption (VSA) process.

The service requires no capital outlays by the customer.  Air Products owns and operates the units at a customer site.  The benefit to the customer is a lower fixed price for the xenon recovered and purified from their facility.  Our estimates project we will be able to reduce a customers costs for Xenon to less than 50% of the current market price.
