- Heliox to help eliminate nitrogen narcosis, reduce breathing resistance at depth, and shorten decompression obligations on sustained operations at depths from 150 feet to more than 2,000 feet. Used with small amounts of nitrogen, it can help to reduce the effects of high-pressure nervous syndrome (HPNS) on deep dives.
- Heliair, consisting of oxygen, nitrogen and helium, is often used during the deep phase of dives carried out using technical diving techniques. Easily blended by adding helium to air, it has a 21:79 ratio of oxygen to nitrogen.
- Nitrox, an oxygen-enriched air mixture, to aid in the reduction of decompression risk on dives shallower than 150 feet.
- Trimix, a combination of oxygen, helium and nitrogen, used to reduce the disadvantages of breathing high partial pressures of nitrogen on technical dives from 150 to 330 feet.

For reasons of safety, quality and regulatory compliance, Air Products recommends that only trained divers or technicians should blend trimix and other diving gases. Many industry professionals recommend using a decompression planning computer program for diving with helium.
