Nitrogen

Liquid nitrogen can be used as a refrigerant in your deflashing systems. Due to its ultracool temperature, it eliminates the need for pre-cooling and can quickly reduce the flash temperature, reducing cycle times and improving productivity. Ultracold, inert nitrogen can also help reduce heat produced in your grinding process, resulting in high-quality, very fine, uniformly sized particles.

PolarFit™ Cryogenic Cooling Systems for Rubber Hose Manufacturing

In reinforced hose manufacturing, the rubber hose must be at the optimum temperature before it can be braided. Too much cooling can cause the rubber to become brittle or damaged. Too little cooling can lead to deformation, kinking, cutting, poor braiding and other issues. Off-spec parts made from a polymer and a metal contain materials that can be valuable if they are recovered and recycled. Our process offers you an environmentally sustainable way to recover clean components for reuse and recycling. This liberation process uses liquid nitrogen to cool components to extremely low temperatures. At these low temperatures, the polymer portion contracts at a greater rate than the metal portion of the part, creating enough stress to break the bond between the polymer and the metal. This technology can be applied in your separation process to generate a stream of clean metal and a stream of metal-free polymers, making it easier to recover and recycle.
