Air Products provides aerosol drug therapy systems for patients who
need prescribed medication, such as bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory
drugs, or antibiotics, to be delivered directly into the airways and lungs.
A nebuliser converts the medication into a fine aerosol mist that is then
inhaled by the patient through a mask or mouthpiece.
Air Products provides the following equipment:
Compressor units or ultrasonic devices – these are the driving force that enable the nebuliser to deliver an aerosol. The compressor forces air through the drug solution in the nebuliser chamber where it is converted into a fine mist and breathed in through a mask or mouthpiece.
Nebuliser chambers - these break up the medication into fine particles to form a mist for inhalation into the lungs.
