Air Products, through our Japanese JV partner, Daido Air Products (DAP) helped our customer, Showa Shell, achieve their goal of receiving the Japanese "Good Design Award 2007". DAP supplies Showa Shell with the hydrogen selenide (H2Se) gas Showa Shell uses in the formulation and production of their new solar cell technology. In granting this award, the Japanese Industrial Design Promotion Organization (JIDPO) states that this new technology system has 0.9 year payback, uses 1/100th of the materials of conventional solar batteries, and has superior cost performance and power generation stability. > Photo and details |
