Dispersants for Resin-Free Systems

The ZetaSperse® range of dispersants for resin-free systems consists of a variety of polymeric and oligomeric stabilizing chemistries designed to offer performance with a wide range of pigment and particle chemistries and various application demands. ZetaSperse 1200

A high performance dispersant designed for the dispersion of inorganic chemistries, ZetaSperse 1200 dispersant has been shown to be highly effective with titanium dioxides, iron oxides, other inorganic pigments and particle chemistries. Based on a combination of lower molecular weight dynamic wetting and stabilizing chemistries with an anionic dispersant polymer, ZetaSperse 1200 dispersant can provide excellent performance attributes in application and throughout the dispersion process and is a 45% active solution in water.

ZetaSperse 2300

Lower in molecular weight, ZetaSperse 2300 dispersant provides robust electrosteric stabilization for the dispersion of a wide range of solids. At 95% actives, this product is used at less than half the loading of typical polymeric dispersant solutions providing a very cost effective stabilizing option.

ZetaSperse 2500

Lower in molecular weight, ZetaSperse 2500 dispersant provides electrosteric stabilization based on a special anchoring group particularly suited for aromatic solids. It provides strong affinity for organic and carbon black pigments. ZetaSperse 2500 dispersant is optimized for performance in resin-free and resin-minimal formulations, but, due to its specially designed structure, it offers some favorable interactions with typical polymeric dispersants and can also be effective at low use levels to improve dispersions. ZetaSperse 2500 dispersant is a 40% active aqueous solution.

ZetaSperse 3100

A 40% active solution in water, ZetaSperse 3100 dispersant is based on a unique comb polymer. It offers electrosteric stabilization for a wide range of solids and has been found to be particularly effective with small particle-size pigments such as carbon black and transparent inorganic pigments.

ZetaSperse 3400

A 29% active solution in water, ZetaSperse 3400 dispersant is based on a proprietary combination of dispersant polymers that was originally designed to achieve optimal affinity and stabilization characteristics with quinacridone and perylene pigment chemistries. Since its introduction it has found utility with a variety of other chemistries and applications, including some inorganic pigments such as bismuth vanadate.

A 52% active solution in water, ZetaSperse 3600 dispersant is based on a synergistic combination of surface active agents and is designed to provide robust and easy-to-use performance across most pigment and particle chemistries. It is also a very effective solution for overcoming variation in pigment supply and quality. Although designed as a primary dispersant for use in resin-free and resin-minimal systems, due to its properties, ZetaSperse 3600 dispersant offers favorable stabilization benefits when used as a secondary dispersant in conjunction with other dispersants.
