Oxygen

Oxygen is a colorless gas which constitutes approximately 21 percent of the volume of air. It can be stored and shipped as either a gas or a cryogenic liquid with a boiling point of -297.3°F (-183°C). Oxygen can be used for aeration in aquaculture tanks, streams and lakes to increase the oxygen content of the water which is vital for the health of the aquatic life in the water. For these applications, we supply oxygen in gas or liquid form which we can either deliver to your site or produce on your site. The use of oxygen instead of air for aeration increases the oxygen dissolution driving force and minimizes the energy cost.

Halia® mixer aeration system

The Halia mixer aeration system is our most cost-effective solution for oxygen aeration in activated sludge processes. It consists of oxygen supply — either as liquid oxygen or onsite generation — plus floating oxygen injection/mixing equipment, and it minimizes the need for additional mixing equipment within the basin.  This offering is not available in all regions; please check with your local office.

Halia® venturi aeration system

The Halia venturi aeration system consists of oxygen supply — either as liquid oxygen or onsite generation — plus oxygen injection and mixing equipment. This system achieves a high oxygen transfer efficiency with low operating costs. It is flexible across various basin designs or sizes and can be supplied as raft or immersed models.

This system offers low cost capacity increase or retrofit for diffused air systems. It can be wet installed and has low operating costs. The Halia propeller aeration system is uniquely suited for use with onsite oxygen generators.
