Air Products modular aeration systems can be utilized to prevent the formation of reduced sulfur compounds. Our systems can be used either in sumps prior to the lift station or directly injected into the force mains.
The natural formation of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) can result in major problems for today’s collection departments, including:
- Odor complaints
- Safety of maintenance personnel due to the toxicity of H2S
- Corrosion of piping and ancillary equipment.
Air Products modular aeration systems have been proven to be effective in oxidizing reduced sulfur compounds into harmless sulfates and raising the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) of the bulk liquid, thus preventing the reformation of H2S and associated issues.
