The natural formation of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) can result in major problems for today’s collection departments, including:

• Odor complaints
• Safety of maintenance personnel due to the toxicity of H₂S
• Corrosion of piping and ancillary equipment.

Air Products modular aeration systems have been proven to be effective in oxidizing reduced sulfur compounds into harmless sulfates and raising the oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) of the bulk liquid, thus preventing the reformation of H₂S and associated issues.
