Miquel Lope

Miquel Lope is vice president, Southern Europe and Maghreb, at Air Products. Based in Barcelona, Spain, he is responsible for driving the strategy and profitability of all business aspects—including on-site plants and merchant bulk, Cryoease® microbulk, and packaged gases supply—in Southern Europe, where Carburos Metálicos and Gasin are well recognized and leading brands in the Spanish and Portuguese markets, respectively. He is also responsible for developing the company’s industrial gas business in Maghreb (Morocco and Tunisia).

Mr. Lope joined Air Products in 1997 as the financial analyst for Packaged Gases and Liquid Bulk in Southern Europe. He then transitioned to roles as financial analyst and controller for the European Electronics Division. In 2004 Mr. Lope became European financial analysis manager for the European Healthcare Division, and in 2009 he was appointed European Bulk Argon, Carbon Dioxide and Hydrogen business manager. Since 2012, Mr. Lope has held various senior management positions in Southern Europe, including Supply Chain and Operations manager for the subregion and most recently, Tonnage and Merchant business manager.

Mr. Lope holds both a finance degree and a master's degree in economics and financial analysis from the University of Barcelona.
