Air Products Announces $25,000 Grant to Support the Buffalo Niagara Partnership

Air Products (NYSE:APD) today announced a $25,000 grant from the Air Products Foundation in support of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership (BNP), the area’s regional chamber of commerce and economic development organization. 

The contribution will assist with the development and execution of strategic programs that support the growth and economic vitality of the region under the leadership of the BNP.

Earlier this year, Air Products announced that it will open a new project delivery office in Buffalo. The office will serve as a cross-functional space for the Global Engineering and Manufacturing Technology Equipment (GEMTE) unit and include engineering, product, process gas and air separation unit product line functions.

The Buffalo office will have approximately 75 employees and Air Products continues to actively hire for engineering, project management and procurement positions in the region.

The Buffalo office will execute projects throughout the Americas, including an announced green liquid hydrogen facility in Massena, NY. There, Air Products, the world leading hydrogen supplier and a first mover developing and executing low-carbon hydrogen megaprojects, announced plans to invest approximately $500 million to build, own and operate a 35 metric ton per day facility to produce green liquid hydrogen at a greenfield site. Air Products will also build a liquid hydrogen distribution and dispensing operation in the area.
