Stainless Steel

Maximum performance for welding stainless steel

Stainless steel is a popular material selected for it resistance to corrosion. All stainless steel contains varying amounts of chromium and can also contain molybdenum. The exact composition is selected resulting in four categories of stainless steel:

  • Austenitic stainless steel
  • Ferritic stainless steel
  • Martenitic stainless steel
  • Duplex stainless steel

Stainless steel is resistant to corrosion and staining. It is low maintenance and has an aesthetic appeal and cleanliness meaning it is rarely coated (paint, etc.).

Typical applications range from installations in the pharma/chemical industries to offshore and from food applications to road tankers and more.

The Inomaxx® weld process gases range have been specifically designed as the only gases you need for the high-quality welding of any type of stainless steel. Whether you are MAG welding or TIG welding, aim for the most exacting standards.

Our Inomaxx® 2 weld process gas is suited for pulsed arc transfer and offers superior mechanical properties.

With Inomaxx® Plus, manual weld speeds can be increased by up to 17%. Also, from the Inomaxx® weld process range is Inomaxx® TIG, specially designed to give smoother and faster welds when welding Austenitic stainless steel.
